Dave goes to work for Reiss Automotive, then drives a parts truck for Roberts Chevrolet in St. Louis.

Dave meets future bride Barbara McAboy at Mary Ann's Ice Cream Parlor in April.

Dave rides in his first international Six Days Trial (ISDT) in Poland and earns a gold medal.

October 15, third son Kurt Mungenast is born.

Dave rides on U.S. Vase Team at the ISDT in San Peligrino, Italy and earns a Bronze medal.

Dave dislocates his shoulder at the Jack Pine Enduro, but goes directly to Germany to ride ISDT where he earns a silver medal. He earns a gold medal at the Berkshire International Trail in Massachusetts.

Dave breaks his ribs at the ISDT in Spain.

Dave opens Doe Run Cycle Park, a 1,700 acre riding area for motocross trails and enjoyment of his motorcycle customers. It continues through 1980.

Dave earns a golf medal at the ISDT at the Isle of Man.

Dave rides a a works Honda at ISDT in Czechoslovakia. The bike breaks down and Dave fails to finish.

Dave does stunt work with motocross champion Kent Howerton in the movie "Stormin' Home" and performed with Paul Newman in the movie "Harry and Son".

Dave participates in a movie stunt in New Zealand for "Welcome to Paradise" where several motorcyclists plunge off a pier into the ocean and earns a nomination for "Stunt Man of the Year" award in 1985.

Dave hires Brian Slark to run Classic Motorcycles, a business to trade in vintage and collectible motorcycles.

Lexus of St. Louis becomes first LEED (green) certified Lexus new car dealership in the United States; adheres to stringent guidelines for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for New Construction as determined by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The entire dealership project is the best example nationally of ecological responsibility for Lexus and luxury car dealers.

Dave Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis and Marta's Boutique launched their first fashion show at Dave Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis new LEED Lexus facility. Proceeds from the Fashion Extravaganza benefited Ranken Jordan.
